Introducing Peacekeeper Insights
The long view of your co-parenting communication — private, research-grounded, and unlike anything else in co-parenting.

Peacekeeper AI has always worked in the moment. Compose reads your draft as you type and helps you say the hard thing well. Protect screens what arrives so hostility doesn’t land in your lap unfiltered. Both operate one message at a time.
But co-parenting isn’t lived one message at a time. It’s lived in stretches — a rough month around a schedule change, a season where expenses stopped being a fight, a topic that keeps coming back no matter how many times it feels settled. In the middle of it, those stretches are almost impossible to see. You just know this week felt bad, and last week maybe didn’t.
Peacekeeper Insights is the third pillar: the long view. It reads across the weeks and turns them into perspective — for you, privately, and for the professionals your family trusts. It’s live in Coparency today.
Something no other tool does
Every co-parenting tool we know of stops at the moment a message is sent or received. Some offer tone guidance while you write — a warning, a suggestion, a coached rewrite. Some help shield you from hostile messages, or keep a meticulous record of everything that happened. Those things matter, and Coparency does them too.
But none of them help you step back. None of them show you your own trends over time — whether the hard season you’re in is getting better or worse, whether the effort you’re putting into staying calm is actually showing up in your messages, whether the topic that blew up in March is quietly resolving or quietly returning. You can be doing genuinely well and have no way to see it.
That’s the gap Insights fills, and we think it changes what a co-parenting app can be. The parent who can see that expense conversations stopped being a fight three months ago — that’s a parent who keeps going. The parent who can see that Sunday nights run hot — that’s a parent who moves the hard conversation to Tuesday. Small, private, unglamorous shifts. That’s where conflict actually goes down.
What you see
For parents, Insights is a private page — a quiet timeline of your communication, built from things Peacekeeper was already noticing message by message:
- Weekly reflections — a short, written recap of your week that leads with what you did well — and, when it’s useful, one small thing to try. Never a lecture.
- Moments — when a stretch of communication runs hot, Insights names it while it’s happening — neutrally, as a situation, not a verdict — and closes it out when it resolves. Hard weeks get recognized, and so do their endings.
- Themes — the topics that keep coming back: schedule changes, activities, money — made visible, so a recurring pattern stops feeling like a series of ambushes. When a theme goes quiet for good, that gets celebrated.
- Your tone over time — your own messages, week by week, on a calm-to-elevated scale. Your side only. Quiet weeks show as gaps — and gaps are fine.
- When friction happens — a heat map of when tense exchanges tend to land — Sunday evenings around exchanges, say — so you can steer hard topics away from hot windows.
- Proof of the quiet work — lines like “Peacekeeper screened a message before it reached you this month” or “Compose helped shape 2 of your messages.” The protection you don’t see, occasionally made visible.
Professionals — the attorneys, mediators, parenting coordinators, and counselors families invite into Coparency — get their own view, built for their role: the recent climate of each family at a glance on their dashboard, a month-by-month written summary of how communication actually went, response patterns, and the moments and themes that catch them up on the weeks between check-ins.
Built thoughtfully, on purpose
A feature that reflects on family communication has to be built with real care, and we spent as much time on how Insights should feel as on what it should show. The design is grounded in the research on conflict and communication: self-affirmation work shows that people can genuinely hear difficult feedback when it leads with what’s going well, so every reflection starts there. Behavioral research shows that counters and grades provoke defensiveness rather than change, so Insights speaks in words, not scores — “a tense stretch mid-month around the activities schedule,” never a number that grades your week. And the literature on parallel parenting is clear that for many families, less contact is the healthy outcome — so quiet weeks are treated as wins, never as disengagement to fix.
We were just as deliberate about making sure Insights supports each parent without ever becoming something that could be used against one. Your reflections, your tone, your patterns are yours alone — neither parent ever sees the other’s, and that privacy is enforced by the system itself, not by a setting. What you share is a single neutral read on the overall climate, identical for both of you. There are no streaks, no red badges, no punishment for a bad week. And AI observations are always labeled as observations — they describe communication, never people, and they never appear in exported records. Your factual record stays clean, complete, and yours.
It closes the loop
The most satisfying part of Insights is what it feeds back into the rest of Peacekeeper. Because the system knows what’s been tense lately, Compose reads with extra care when your draft touches a topic that’s been running hot. Because it knows when your conversation’s heated hours are, Calm Delivery can quietly steer non-urgent notifications past them. The three pillars stopped being separate features and became one system: write with intention, receive with protection, understand with perspective.
Insights also builds in a protocol professionals have recommended for years: tagging messages that need a response versus ones that are FYI, with a common 48-hour guideline and gentle, private reminders. Many parenting plans and court orders already require exactly this convention — Coparency just makes it real, without either parent having to police it.
Try it
Insights is live for everyone, included free while we’re in early access. If you’re curious what it looks like before connecting with your co-parent, choose “Try the demo first” when you sign up — the sample families come with months of history, so the reflections, moments, and monthly summaries are all there to explore. Professionals get the same demo from their side.
And if you try it and something feels off, tell us. We built Insights to be the most supportive feature in Coparency — we intend to keep it that way.
